Perma-Fix Announces Third Annual Mixed Waste Treatment Forum

OAK RIDGE, Tenn., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Perma-Fix Environmental Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: PESI) (BSE: PESI) (Germany: PES.BE) today announced that it will hold its third annual Mixed Waste Treatment Forum on December 1st through the 4th in Nashville, Tennessee. This year's forum will focus on accelerated cleanup projects at U.S. Department of Energy sites, as well as commercial facilities, and the special waste management challenges involved with those projects. Perma-Fix is the nation's leader in mixed waste treatment with three fully licensed and permitted facilities located in Tennessee and Florida.

More than 100 experts from the nation's nuclear industry, including representatives from the Departments of Energy and Defense, nuclear utilities, pharmaceutical companies and research institutions, are scheduled to attend this year's forum. The three-day seminar, to be held at Nashville's Opryland Hotel, will showcase Perma-Fix's capabilities to help the nuclear industry safely and efficiently treat and dispose of mixed waste.
